A suitcase is a general term for a distinguishable form of luggage. It is often a somewhat flat, rectangular-shaped bag with rounded/square corners, either metal, hard plastic or made of cloth, vinyl or leather that more or less keeps its shape.
a seat in a car
A car seat is the chair used in automobiles. Most car seats are made from cheap, but durable materials, made to withstand as much beating as possible. The material for these seats is usually used for the back of the seat, as well as the part where one's posterior goes.

So...
I've been taking roadtrips almost every single summer since 1994. When I was in university, working for Cinegogue Odeon, I drove around BC and Alberta (and later Saskatchewan and Montana and Manitoba got added to the list) in my little 1985 Toyota Tercel, stopping here and there, traveling directionless with a carload of canned goods and a sleeping bag for two weeks. Sometimes I would sleep in campgrounds in a tent, other times just outside in the grass at the side of the road in farmland, and still others stretched out inside the car's passenger seat.
Later with a shiny new 1987 Toyota Tercel, I would make trips to see my Wisconsin family, my Kelley and my Kalin, stopping at rest areas and stretching out inside the car for the night. It was a tighter fit than it was in the 1985 (older Tercels have more leg room, more trunk space, and a little more power under the hood), but I still enjoyed the trip, sleeping outside under the stars when I could, like when I would pass through the Cypress Hills.
This summer, I proposed that to see a little more of the world, Kalin come back to Vancouver with me. It would be a tighter fit again, but if she was willing to give it a go and have an adventure then I was happy to have her. As the day for my departure neared, both Kelley and I began to have difficulty just parting ways like that, and so we decided that she would come with Kalin and I to the coast, having an adventure with us along the way, and then we would take her to Sea-Tac to take a plane back to Wisconsin. Kalin would come back to Vancouver and hang out with me until I drove her crazy and she decided that she'd had enough.
It was a good little trip from Oshkosh to the coast. The ladies and I slept most nights in the car, and we all fit quite comfortably.
This picture was taken the day that Kelley went back to Wisconsin and Kalin came back to Vancouver with me.
I was sad to see my Kelley go, but I was glad that Kalin was there to entertain me with her silliness and coolness.
Kalin and I stopped at Bellis Fair Mall in Bellingham to have some lunch before heading back over the border. It was at Bellis Fair that we saw this ad. We laughed. You just don't see shit like this in Canada.
