Nelson Solenoid Valve
- A solenoid valve is an electromechanical valve for use with liquid or gas. The valve is controlled by an electric current through a solenoid coil.
- Valve that is actuated with a electromagnetic solenoid magnet. 2 possible variations, NC (naturally closed) which is closed when there is no current applied and NO (naturally open) which is open when no current is applied
- A quick-opening valve which is mounted on a pressurized tank. The opening of the valve generates a cleaning pulse which dislodges the dust from the filter elements.
- A wrestling hold in which one arm is passed under the opponent's arm from behind and the hand is applied to the neck (half nelson), or both arms and hands are applied (full nelson)
- Armed trawler Nelson was a British auxiliary warship which served during World War I. She was built in 1905 as the fishing smack G&E, operating from Lowestoft and registered as LT 649. In 1915 she was armed for defence against U-boat attack, and fought several actions against them.
- English admiral who defeated the French fleets of Napoleon but was mortally wounded at Trafalgar (1758-1805)

My dad's great-grandparents, William and Sarah Nelson, with their children and grandchildren on August 30, 1906. This photo was probably taken on their farm, which was between Shawville and Croft in Clearfield County, Pa.

There are lots of photos of the girls in matching dresses and bows. They almost looks like easter dresses.
This was on very thin paper that had been mounted on a black album page and then taken out.
