In automotive engineering, an intake manifold or inlet manifold is the part of an engine that supplies the fuel/air mixture to the cylinders. An exhaust manifold or header collects the exhaust gases from multiple cylinders into one pipe.
a manifold consisting of a pipe to carry fuel to each cylinder in an internal-combustion engine
The network of passages that direct air or air-fuel mixture from the throttle body to the intake ports in the cylinder head. The flow typically proceeds from the throttle body into a chamber called the plenum, which in turn feeds individual tubes, called runners, leading to each intake port.
a structure in a hollow organ (like the heart) with a flap to insure one-way flow of fluid through it
A cylindrical mechanism in a brass instrument that, when depressed or turned, admits air into different sections of tubing and so extends the range of available notes
A membranous fold in a hollow organ or tubular structure, such as a blood vessel or the digestive tract, that maintains the flow of the contents in one direction by closing in response to any pressure from reverse flow
control consisting of a mechanical device for controlling the flow of a fluid
A device for controlling the passage of fluid through a pipe or duct, esp. an automatic device allowing movement in one direction only
device in a brass wind instrument for varying the length of the air column to alter the pitch of a tone
EGR Valve Intake manifold
Tookout the ERG valve and intake manifold on my car. Man were they nasty! No wonder the car had no power. Cleaned it all up and replaced them and it's like I have a whole new car!
