Professional sports leagues are organized in numerous ways. The most common are those in the North American mode and those in the European mode.

Hockey Puck
I'm a big hockey fan. My favorite team is the Minnesota Wild. I think the Wild have the coolest logo of any sports franchise. The logo is sort of left open for interpretation. Some say it's a Bear's head (which is what I think), others say a wolf. Some say that it has a setting sun. Others say it's the moon (which is what I think). The eye is said to be the North Star, some think that it's a tribute to our original hockey team, the North Stars. As you can see, the mouth is a winding river. I like to believe that it's the Mississippi River since the Mississippi originates in the state of Minnesota and runs through a majority of our beautiful state. You can also see pine trees in the logo. The streaks across the Moon / Sun can either be interpreted as clouds, or the Aurora Borealis (northern lights). Whatever your interpretation of it is, you must agree that it's a pretty sweet logo!
Maybe This Time
Opening Day. The Philadelphia Phillies are a Major League Baseball team. They are the oldest continuous, one-name, one-city franchise in all of professional American sports, dating to 1883.
Maybe this time, I'll be lucky
....
I'll be home at last
Not a loser anymore
Like the last time
And the time before
Everybody loves a winner
So nobody loved me;
....
All the odds are in my favor
Something's bound to begin
It's got to happen, happen sometime
Maybe this time I'll win
