Scuse the wiki explanation. Basically Ranger and Celtic or Celtic and Rangers (which ever side you follow) are old football rivals. (Understatement!!!!) A newspaper compared them to a business and christened them "The Auld Firm" in a cartoon. The name stuck and they have gone on to be... well a business!!!
I, being a Liverpool and Queens Park supporter, have no true allegiance to eith side. I was born and brought up Protestant in Govan in the shadow of Ibrox Park (Rangers) and in my late teens thru to my mid twenties was a season ticket holder at Parkhead (Celtic). I know bizarre isn't it? I struggle with hate so watching people with that amount of hatred always troubles me. The media thrive on it like a bully in a school playground egging two boys on to fight and then stand back and say"nothing to do with us, we're just doing our job!!". Anyway both shirts belong to me and it's not often you'll see the colours displayed side by side like this. More's the pity.
