20090605 2204...Did I take enough stuff?
This is what I took with me on my May 2009 trip to Utah. Main items were:
1. an ice chest
2. five Rubbermaid Roughtote containers (clothing; food; cooking gear; hiking equipment; state atlases)
3. two small, clear Rubbermaid containers (food carried on hikes; photo electronics)
4. four duffel bags (bedding; day's clothes; shower stuff and toiletries; dirty clothes)
5. filing box (maps and books)
6. two hiking packs (small; large)
7. miscellaneous stuff: camping chair; step stool (to reach things in the roof box); two pairs of hiking boots; water; shovel, ice axe (not used); tent (not used); small portable ice chest (not used)
8. In addition, on this trip I also brought a laptop computer (used once), external drive (used once), and a portable CD player (never used).
I confess to being a pack rat and wanting to take enough to be prepared for any eventuality. However, on every trip I discover that many things go unused. Already I have sworn to eliminate the roof box and numerous items that are rarely---if ever---used.
Blueberry Cheese Cake - Done!
Uneven heating as the portable oven is 6 years old :) It has sentimental value liao.
Bake the cake for 45 ~50 minutes at 175 degree C. Use a knife to loosen the sides so they don't stick after cooling. Let it seat for a while, loosen the sides again, then chill in a fridge. Best taste after chllling overnight.
p.s. pack the base tightly with flat of spoon next time, use 4 packets of cheese and one more packet of blueberries instead
