Melaka Sultanate Palace Museum
This is a reconstruction of the palace of the sultan of Malacca. Architecture is suited for tropical climates, this being built on stilts. This allows for ventilating breeze to circulate beneath the flooring which cools the dwelling. I can feel the difference in the temperature once we got inside. The roof structure and shape is also distinctly Malaysian; high pitched with intricate details.
