V8 Supercars is bringing legendary rockers Guns N’ Roses Down Under this December for the heart-thumping ride at the Sydney Telstra 500. More than 185,000 people are expected to pack the hugely anticipated event, featuring the grand final of the V8 Supercar Championship Series plus one of the world’s biggest international rock acts!

The streets of Sydney Olympic Park will ignite over three days as V8 Supercars push the limits at the season’s final battle. Screaming fans will be welcomed to the jungle by bad boy Axl Rose on Saturday night at ANZ Stadium during an exclusive Sydney performance.

About Guns N' Roses

Originating in Los Angeles in June 1985, Guns N' Roses' originally was formed by singer Axl Rose, guitarist Tracii Guns, guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Robbie Gardner, The name was derived from a combination of Tracii Guns and Axl Rose's pseudonymous last names. Shortly after inception guitarist Slash and drummer Stephen Adler replaced Guns and Gardner.

The band released a self-produced EP, Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide, in 1986. Copies of the EP reached Geffen Records executives who soon signed the band.

Appetite for Destruction, GNR's Geffen debut, was released on August 21, 1987. The album sold 20 million copies, had three top 10 singles, and hit #1 on the charts. Appetite For Destruction remains the best selling debut album of all-time. The album includes massive hits in Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child o’ Mine and Paradise City and to date has sold over 28 million copies worldwide. It has been certified as 18X Platinum in the U.S.A.

Guns N' Roses' next release was G N' R Lies in 1988 which hit #2 on the music charts. The album included the four Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide recordings on one side and four acoustic songs on the other. Including another great hit in Patience. In 1990 Guns N' Roses returned to the studio with new drummer Matt Sorum and keyboardist Dizzy Reed to begin work on the band's most ambitious undertaking yet. On September 17, 1991 they released contemporaneously Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II, which debuted as #2 and #1 on the charts. These albums included an assortment of further hits including November Rain, You Could be Mine, Don’t Cry, Civil War and covers of the Wings hit, Live or Let Die, and Dylan’s Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.

In 1993, Guns N' Roses released a collection of mostly punk covers entitled The Spaghetti Incident?. And that same year, a cover version of The Rolling Stones' Sympathy for the Devil was recorded by the band, for the movie Interview with the Vampire.

The band’s most recent album was the highly anticipated “Chinese Democracy” was released in 2008. Discography

Taken at a skating park in Chandler, Arizona, about a mile from where Lisa lives. The boys who were spending that afternoon skateboarding and riding their BMX bikes at that park took a great deal of interest in what we were doing! Lisa and I want to go back there sometime when the lighting will be less harsh and contrasty, because I didn't get many good shots at that location this time.
