Nick Evennou
Nick Evannou catches some big uphill air while making sure his suspension is "dialed in."
The Canon AF really had trouble finding the subject through all those trees.
The bikes are, by the way, numbered according to how they finished last year. They are:
1 Jimmy Nelson 2 Jean-Sebastian Roy 3 Blair Morgan 10 Colton Facciotti 39 Nick Evennou

For Nick Evennou, the Blackfoot Toyota Team Yamaha Racing shakedown in Morden, MB's Shadow Valley track was about one thing-getting his Yamaha YZ250F's suspension just right. Nothing, not even the smallest tweak escapes the attention of Evennou and his dedicated mechanic, who will spend the entire day getting it all "dialed in" perfect. But is perfect possible? Absolutely, Evennou insists. In Supercross, it's more about the suspension than any other part-- even the engine.
"The best engine won't automatically win," Evennou says, "not without the suspension being perfect. In the whoops, the rhythm sections, anywhere you ride technical, suspension is key. The right setup for me is definitely out there. I have to get the suspension right to win."
Although 2007 is not his 's first pro season, back in 2005, a broken wrist turned his first pro season into a false start. His second season was even worse- Evennou finished only two out of 24 races.
"It wasn't just one thing," Evennou says of his season, "it was everything. Bad clutches, carbs filled with dirt, engines blowing, if it could go wrong, it went wrong."
Just when things looked like they couldn't go worse, Evennou's 2006 season hit rock bottom thanks to a broken foot that required several rounds of reconstructive surgery. If it weren't for his faithful mechanic, Simon Homans, Nick says no way would he be riding for Blackfoot this year. This year, however, Evennou says he's focused on one thing: winning.
"My plan this year is to be MX east champion," Evennou says. "It's not about the recognition or the press. That'll just come. I'm healthy and I'm ready to go. I'm going to show everyone what time it is."
Cory's Dirt Bike
I haven't ridden one of these in 15 years. Needless to say, I forgot how. Here is my first attempt, with basically no instruction. Steve was a little afraid I was going to lose control and run into a tree, hence the "you forget about 2nd gear!!" hahaha. My favorite part is when Cory says "Clutch!" right before I kill it. Hee.
