First Train of the Day
About to leave New Romney. I was interested to observe how refrigeration set in as I made the journey to and from Dymchurch on Easter Sunday. What it meant to the volunteer staff who staffed the stations and drove the trains largely for children with a low boredom threshold doesn't bear thinking about. However, the railway has managed to survive since 1927 and long may it continue to do so. Oh, and a big bonus of being on the first train on a freezing day was that I was the only passenger on it.
