School is Vacated
I'm teaching some kids photography in Summer Camp in of Ghana's good schools. As the kids went on break, I entered one of the classrooms, and I was pleased to see that the chairs have been turned upside down on the desks. It took me straight down memory lane. Now that I'm older, I know the teachers asked us to place our chairs on our tables this way just make it easier for the cleaners to sweep and also reduce how much dust settled on our tables and chairs. When we were kids, we actually believed if you don't turn your chair unto your table, ghosts will come and sit on it at night. Funny, what things kids can believe. That's why I decided to reduce the shutter speed, and play with the light to deliberately give this composition a "ghostly" look.
