1980-08 Dead Cello
Yeah, okay, so, when I was in 5th grade in 1980, my cello got run over by a car. I left my best friend guarding it in the school parking lot while I ran back inside the school to get something I'd forgotten. I guess she got distracted, because when I got back, the cello (still inside its soft-shell case, which you can see here) was smashed to pieces. The mother of another cello student, ironically enough, had backed over it with her car. And the worst part was that it wasn't even my cello -- it was my teacher's, which she had loaned to me. She was very nice about it, though. After this, my parents bought me my own cello. And they bought me a hard-shell case to keep it in. And I never asked anyone to watch it for me ever again, after this.
"I'd buy this, but it looks like my tits are about to pop out and assault you..."
Meet my best friend Jade. I look like a complete idiot, but we spent a good while in those changing rooms trying on dresses and several similar things. She is my music buddy and may laugh at everything I say that isn't funny to make me feel better, and sacrifice her lunch breaks to sit with me whilst I tune a cello, but I love her to pieces. A photo for all those times!
