Davies Creek Above Falls Trees & Reflections
Davies Creek is about 45 minutes from Cairns on a corrugated road off the main highway. It is an area of lots of granite boulders and a creek winds its way through all this. There is a waterfall on this creek. The area is vegetated by open eucalypt species mainly except in the creek area and banks. Quite striking reflections as far as colour is concerned. The brown is where the stupid Govt Environmental dept burned the bush.
The Ivor Davies
Not the best capture. The car was moving, the window doesn't open and it was raining.
I was trying to get a picture of the smokers and the pub sign picturing Ivor Davies having a smoke (can be seen with picture enlarged).
