Kendall Oil
This old Kendall Oil sign is hung on a building that appears to have been a service station along one of the earliest alignments of Route 66 through Dwight, Illinois. The front of the building boasts an impressive collection of vintage gasoline and oil signs, two vintage pumps, and an airbrushed rendition of an old Indy roadster.
I've no idea what purpose the building currently serves-I think it's a garage of some sort, and it's next door to a tire specialist.
ºº Okains Bay Garage … or is it? ºº
Okains Bay, Banks Peninsula.
A local came up to me while I was photographing this building + said it wasn't all "real" … that a German film crew had done it up to look old as part of a set.
