- The action or fact of illustrating something, either pictorially or by exemplification
- artwork that helps make something clear or attractive
- exemplification: showing by example

- Stock photography is the supply of photographs licensed for specific uses. It is used to fulfill the needs of creative assignments instead of hiring a photographer. Today, stock images can be presented in searchable online databases. They can be purchased and delivered online.
- (Stock Photos) are photos which are available for rental or purchase for commercial use. They can be obtained from an image bank (a company which makes its business renting use of stock photos) or on disks which can be purchased. Most image banks show their material on the Web.
- (Stock photos) Photo houses are also a source for royalty free photos for use and reference. Be careful!,there is a very real copyright attached to the images.
