3rd shot in the series of 'Bottle' ..
Two shots merged to create this photograph:
1. Nikon D90 @ Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens @ SB 600 aimed at the background to create the snoot effect @ home made grid @ two black frames @ placed on the left and right of bottle to get the edges of the bottle dark @ silver card paper
The only hitch was that the cap was getting engulfed in the snoot/vignette effect ... i did not wanted to lit the bottle from the front coz there was no need ... but had solve the CAP issue ..
2. Shot the entire bottle without the SB 600 flashing .... took the silver reflector and bounced the light coming from the back window to the bottle to lit just the Cap from the light
ON PS .. took both the pics in layers and added the lit cap area on to the original pic which had snoot effect.

Twas the Night Before Chrimtmas
This was my Christmas card this year. I am posting it late so that I didn't spoil the mailing surprise.
It took me about 40 frames to get this shot including 5 or 6 resets of our two cats Leo and Max. The cats were not interested in the cookies so we had to place cat food under them to keep their interest.
Lighting Info: Silver umbrella as main camera left with two flashes (430ex and Sunpak 383) on full power to get the depth of field that I needed. One SB-28 at about 1/4 power with cardboard snoot and green gel camera left used to give the tree some more green.
There was some post processing to bring the attention to the cats but not much.
So far we have gotten rave reviews from the photo except for one grandmother who is not what you would call a cat lover.
