BRAD SPEAKS OUT
CHIEFTAINS coach Brad Doshan has decided to break silence regarding the current difficult situation at the club followng last Sunday's dismal home defeat at the hands of Bristol Bulldogs.
He told the Blade: "I feel that Rick when on his game is one of the top imports in the league and he certainly possesses the best hands.
As far as the team is concerned, with Rick on song and Stokesy back we must try to develop harmony and chemistry that we had before Christmas.
As far as the fans are concerned, my reaction is twofold in that the initial stages of the crisis I was extremely impressed how the supporters rallied around the club, particularly the supporters who have helped to make a financial contribution to the club.
However, while I remain extremely optimistic about the team's future I also feel that the team has been led down by many of the fans negative reactions after the Bristol game.
I personally feel that people do not realise that it will take some time for this team to reach its full potential and begin to gel as a unit.
I feel that Sunday evening against Bristol we were beaten by a better hockey team on the night.
It is imperative that everybody is awar that withot a complete team and full import quota we will stuggle to overcome the top teams in the league, therefore now more than ever we need the complete support of the fans, supporters and media."
