Here I am (first person on the left) before a meal at the Pan American Hotel in Guatemala City. I stay here whenever I am in the city. I was part of a group that was doing an assessment on a facility near Quetzaltenango that was going to be used for a medical clinic/hospital, community center, CHE training center and a place for short-term relief and development teams to stay while they were working in the surrounding villages.

In 1926 Pedro Martinez went into the wholesale business and formed Pedro’s Construction Company, which built Guam’s first hotel, the Pan American Hotel in Sumay.
