My New Year's resolution is to eat right, good foods that are heart healthy. This will contribute to my overall well being. Less plastic wear of the type pictured here, more real silverware and real meals made and eaten at home.

A typical autumn and winter specialty in Italy, sold at street corners where chestnuts are roasted on an open fire in a metal pan and kept warm in a woollen blanket. Then eaten hot right away. Delicious!

During war-time in Italy, often lacking flour and bread, chestnuts cooked in different ways were an important staple food.
