Cleansing Facilities
If you have seen any of my other photos from Japan, you will have seen the cleansing water outlets which should be used before entering the temple. This is yet another of those, although in Kyoto they seem to have more space around these things.

Here's mom and Tracy gazing into the cleansing river at the Ise Shrine. Like the cleansing water, people cleanse themselves in this river and drink the water. There were coy fish swimming in it.
