This afternoon Astrid did something truly disgusting and I spent an hour scrubbing poo out of the area rug, a shag rug at that. I had made her sit in her booster chair while I cleaned up the mess, partly to keep her from making an even bigger mess, and to help me cool off since I was really angry.
I gave her a snack and a sippy of water and started cleaning. I came back into the kitchen to check on her and found her sleeping like this. I immediately felt guilty for getting mad and yelling at her and then felt like the worst mom ever.
She got ice cream tonight after dinner even though I told her she couldn't have ice cream for being bad (it's a Friday night tradition to go and get ice cream).
Mama guilt will do that to you ;)
Day 237
Nathan and I have been looking for a rug to go over the carpet in the apartment. It is a tan carpet and it is getting kinda dirty in spots from everyone walking through. So this rug will keep the carpet much cleaner now. We got this one at K-Mart. I had been dogsitting the week before and so I used that money for the new rug.
