North Georgia Collection Pedigree.
As a date, I rank the 1851-C around ninth (of twenty) Charlotte quarter eagles in higher grades. It is exceedingly rare in full Mint State and quite rare in properly graded AU58. This piece is pedigreed to the famous North Georgia collection but it was sold privately instead of being placed in the historic 1999 FUN auction in which the majority of the coins were offered.
