I photographed most of the bands in the Pacific Northwest in the '70's and 80's that were booked by Farwest Entertainment, William Stephan and Associates, and every other music booking agency in Seattle. Some of the bands wanted me to go above and beyond the routine studio 8 x 10 glossies. I just found several complex, if not ridiculous requests. This is a pretty well known Seattle funk band, ONYX. They asked me to make a photo collage of them as a jewelry setting for an onyx stone. I photographed them individually and then hoisted myself two stories up in my studio to photograph them lying shirtless on the studio floor with their arms interlocking as the gem's setting. Way pre-photoshop, it's all cut and paste.
