California Gold Piece 1/4 Calgold Dollar
Nice piece of Victorian costume jewelry. The coin is a real 1/4 Calgold dollar. It was minted in 1880 at the end of the gold rush in California and they were used as local currency for small coinage since the government wasn't distributing the real stuff to the mining areas. It's weight is approximately 1 gram (comparing it to other coins of the same vintage,) so it has no great metal worth, just historical.
