Vintage silver-tone elements are less common than gold-tone elements, thus a bit more rare.
Inspired by a Robert Louis Stevenson poem.
"Summer fading, winter comes--
Frosty mornings, tingling thumbs,
Window robins, winter rooks,
And the picture story-books.
Water now is turned to stone
Nurse and I can walk upon;
Still we find the flowing brooks
In the picture story-books.
All the pretty things put by,
Wait upon the children's eye,
Sheep and shepherds, trees and crooks,
In the picture story-books.
We may see how all things are
Seas and cities, near and far,
And the flying fairies' looks,
In the picture story-books.
How am I to sing your praise,
Happy chimney-corner days,
Sitting safe in nursery nooks,
Reading picture story-books?"

Portable Shrine To St Hubertus 81
Finished!
The Portable Shrine To St Hubertus is finally completed.
Made from found and recycled spring washers, galvanised steel, tangs from steel files, wire from steel coat hangers, eyeglass lens, a carved Irish Punt coin and antler; with silver, 18 and 9ct gold, copper, fine silver, pure iron, acrylic "enamels", antique silver stampings, a CZ briolette, carved quartz, garnets, synthetic rubies, chrysophrase and a tiny brass bee.
My aim with this was to really play on the sense of something very old which had recently been rediscovered, so it has been polished and patchily oxidised.
