Lcd Screen Filter
- A screen filter is a type of filter using a rigid or flexible screen to separate sand and other fine particles out of water for irrigation or industrial applications.

When Turtles Fly
I ran across some really marvelous bronze statues but was not satisfied photographing them in the normal manner. Switching to my fisheye lens opened up an entire new universe in sight and perspective.
For the flying turtles I used Nik Color Efex.
The detail exractor for the under exposed turtles and polarizer to darken the sky.
Saves me from bothering with flash or HDR or lugging around a polarizing filter.
The swivel lcd screen on my Nikon D5000 let me get in and go crazy with the composition.

Polarizer
Side-by-side comparison with polarizing filter on different settings. All other factors are exactly the same. Nikon D40, 18-55mm lens, focal length = 18mm, 1/60, f/3.5 - no flash. By rotating the polarizing filter, you can darken clouds, clarify LCD screens, reduce or enhance reflections on water or glass, and much much more.
