What Is Hepa Filter
- A high efficiency particulate air , or HEPA , filter is a type of high-efficiency air filter.

but now its time to get out of the desert and into the sun.

Eight years ago, July 21, 2002, I married Dave. I am not a little person, despite the distinctly comical height difference. In fact, what you can't see are my 4" heels. What you can see is that we were clearly amused by the whole thing. (And that I don't have fillings, haha.)
Six years ago today, July 20th, 2004, I sat alone in a waiting room at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in NH, for 13 hours, hoping he made it through his emergency open heart surgery. He did. But we never really recovered.
Four and a half years ago Dave left us all behind.
Three years ago I left Dave's ashes in the desert, outside of Phoenix, way out near the Superstitions. And despite leaving him behind three years ago and finding my own sun, my new life, I suppose I'll just never get over how much I miss him.
Nostalgia has a funny way of blurring the unhappy times we shared, certainly, but I miss Dave more as a human than anything else. He was one of my favorites. Ironically, the song lyrics are from a band out of Tempe, AZ. I was born in Tempe, Dave in Phoenix, and of course, I left Dave in Arizona for eternity, and now have a Phoenix on my arm. It's all related in this crazy life of mine. The only thing this life of mine doesn't have is a gigantic Dave anymore. Just a Dave shaped hole in my heart.
Dave would have been 39 next month...summer has so many ghosts.

This was a hard one for the mother of girls! Thankfully, my student who is ALL BOY was willing to play along! He caught frogs and snails for me...picked flowers for his mama....and even climbed a tree. This was my favorite shot today, but I decided to post the other because I wanted to have a companion piece for my Feb. "What are little girls made of?" I processed this a little differently than my normal stuff. I wanted it to have a timeless quality. I thought about sepia....and it was nice, but I missed that blood on his elbow. And yes, that's real...not staged. lol.
