GECophone Circuit Diagram
Pre-1956 model GECophone circuit-diagram. To convert to a plug-and-socket to enable use on the PSTN, do the following at the four-way block with the terminals marked C, L2, E, L1:
1): Disconnect the 2uF capacitor at 'C'.
2): Break the link L1 - E and replace with a 3k3 resistor.
3): Assuming you're using a plug and lead with white, blue green and red cores, connect as follows:
White - L1.
Blue - C.
Red - L2.
Green - not used.
An Engineer's Life
This is all. Resistors and capacitors are all that exist in the world...the electrical engineering world. Can't really imagine myself looking at circuit diagrams and playing around with capacitors and resistors all day. Don't get me wrong, I definitely have respect for the people who are passionate about this stuff. Atleast for me, analog circuits are a nightmare. And the mathematics involved is all pretty much only algebra!
