Keeps on ticking 1 setup
This pocket watch shot was a one-light setup. The watch was sitting up on the corner of a box to elevate it above the black bedsheet background that was spread across the floor. A Canon 430EX at 1/4 power was pointed through a DIY drinking straw grid below (floor level) and to camera left to act as a rim light. A sheet of white styrofoam was standing above the watch to camera right to provide a diffused key light. The shot was taken through my old, manual Tamron 90mm f/2.5 (52B) macro lens at f/8. This setup shot was taken from approximately the same angle as the final, albeit from a much greater distance.
The sheet was spread wider because I was shooting this watch from a variety of angles.
