"The Theater
In my approach, I was seeking the comfort and safety of the audience and I wanted all seats in the auditorium and on the balcony of the theater to be equivalent. Therefore, the auditorium is cone-shaped and all the seat rows, both on the main floor and on the balcony, consist of concentric segments, so all the radial seats face the stage. The side balconies do not appear in this solution.
The theater is entered through a spacious outer vestibule, the shape of which also follows the line of the concentric inner segments. Through the vestibule the visitor enters the inner lobby with dressing rooms or goes up the duplex stairs leading to the balcony. The arched main stage is 16 meters high. On one side, it connects on both floors to actors? dressing rooms equipped with showers and on the other side it connects to the side stage. The orchestra is located mostly below the stage. The stage building is attached to the conical auditorium by open terraces accessible to the audience. Alongside them there are corridors leading to the restrooms for the audience. There is space reserved for smokers and a buffet on the balcony as well. There are 341 seats on the ground floor and 191 seats on the balcony.
The theatre can serve as a cinema as well: between the balcony and the ground floor, there is a special floor accessible from the actors' dressing rooms, completely separated from the audience, on which is located the projection chamber. The auditorium is indirectly lighted; heating and ventilation are carried out by an air-heating system. A yellow upholstery was chosen on the walls of the auditorium. The ceiling is covered in white roughcast. The olive-coloured chairs are wooden and the curtain is made from dark blue plush. White bronze was used for the metal parts.
In the basement of the stage building there is an entrance for actors which also leads to the warehouse, an apartment of the janitor, a rehearsal hall, a vampire, a machine room and the warehouse. Below the auditorium, a restaurant and a cafe with a ballroom were incorporated into the system of pillars. They are directly connected with the main vestibule of the theater by a special staircase. In addition, it has its own entrance from the park, which on the level of the basement surrounds the whole building. "

"Divadelni budova
Snaha o pohodli a bezpecnost obecenstva a o rovnocennost vsech sedadel v prizemi i na balkone usmernila mou koncepci divadla.
Proto je forma hlediste konicka a vsecky rady sedadel, dole i nahore, tvori koncentricke segmenty, takze vsecka sedadla smeruji radialne k otvoru jeviste. Postranni balkony se vubec u tohoto reseni neobjevuji.
Do divadla se vstupuje prostornym vnejsim vestibulem, ktery rovnez ve sve forme sleduje linii vnitrnich koncentrickych segmentu. Z neho jest vchod jednak do vnitrniho vestibulu se satnami a po oboustrannem schodisti vystup na balkon.
Hlavni jeviste jest obloukove, vysoke 16 m. K nemu pripojuje se na jedne strane ve dvou etagich skupina hereckych saten se sprchami a z druhe strany postranni jeviste. Orchestr jest z vetsi casti umisten pod jevistem.
Budova jeviste se pripojuje architektonicky ke konicke stavbe hlediste otevrenymi terasami obecenstvu pristupnymi. Podle nich jdou chodby k toiletam a umyvarnam obecenstva. Pro kuraky a pro buffet jsou vymezena mista na balkone. V prizemi je 341, na balkone 191 sedadlo.
Pro funkci kina ma budova, mezi balkonem a prizemim, zvlastni patro pristupne od hereckych saten, od obecenstva uplne separovane, v nemz jest umistena projekcni komora.
Osvetleni hlediste je neprime, topeni a vetrani jest provadeno teplovzdusnym systemem.
Na steny hlediste byla zvolena zluta potahova latka. Strop zustava z bile hrube omitky. Zidle jsou drevene, olivove barvy a opona jest z tmavomodreho plyse. Na kovove casti bylo pouzito bile bronze.
V souterrainu jevistni budovy jest vchod pro herce a ke skladisti, byt domovnika, zkusebni sin, propadliste, strojovna a skladiste.
Pod hledistem byla do soustavy piliru vyresena restaurace a kavarna s dancingem, ktera jest spojena zvlastnim schodistem primo s hlavnim vestibulem divadla. Mimo to ma svuj vchod z parku, ktery v rovine souterrainu obklopuje celou budovu.

New Jersey - Scores of residents ran for their lives when a fire broke out in a Hoboken apartment building on May 11th. They escaped via the interior stairwell and fire escape, some assisted by city firefighters upon their arrival. Fire Dispatch sent a first-alarm assignment to 105-11th Street at 0442 hours. Engine 1 and Ladder 1, located two-blocks away, found heavy smoke pouring from the four-story ordinary building, with a cafA© located on the ground floor, upon arrival. With a rapidly spreading fire on the second-floor, and a life hazard, the second-alarm was transmitted for the remaining city companies. A call was also placed for assistance from the North Hudson Regional Fire Department. Two calls for assistance to North Hudson provided a total of two engines, a truck, Battalion 1, Safety 1 and Mask Service Unit to the scene.
Flames vented out windows of the corner building on both 11th Street and Washington Street and traveled via walls to the top floor. One resident said the fire a??spread immediately.a??
Numerous handlines were placed in to operation and an additional call for mutual aid went to Jersey City who dispatched an engine, truck, Battalion 1, Safety Battalion and Mask Service Unit.
Hoboken EMS set up a triage area opposite the fire on wide Washington Street where they treated numerous residents and firefighters for smoke inhalation, heat exhaustion and other minor injuries.
By 0700 hours the fire was contained and firefighters were opening up hot spots. According to a News12 TV interview, occupants stated they had experienced electrical problems in the building in the past. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
