hard surface flooring with a fibreboard core and melamine wear layer - available in blocks, planks, and squares.
Laminate flooring is a multi-layer synthetic flooring product, fused together with a lamination process. Laminate flooring simulates wood (or stone, in some cases) with a photographic applique layer under a clear protective layer.
Relatively new to North America, laminates have a dense fiberboard core with a paper pattern layer sealed under high pressure both top and bottom with a plastic-like substance. Sold as planks and panels in wood, stone, tile and other looks.
A vapor barrier (or vapour barrier) is often used to refer to any material, typically a plastic or foil sheet, that resists diffusion of moisture through wall, ceiling and floor assemblies of buildings and of packaging.
Yarns that have either a non-wicking or a water swellable finish to help prevent moisture from entering the yarn bundle, which could cause signal interference.
Treated paper or metal that retards or bars water vapor, used to keep moisture from passing into walls or floors.
5-20 plastic
I layed down some 6 mil plastic on the outside of the building about 10 feet out to keep debris out of the drainage system. Mainly it's meant to shed water from the foundation wall. I also layed plastic on the inside of the wall to act as a moisture barrier. I plan to fill the inside with dirt and have an adobe floor.
Moisture barrier
15 w felt paper was used to wrap the house and prevent any moisture from penetrating the walls. We like this paper better than any other product as it is used in the majority of roofs in the country and protects for a very long time
