Kitchen floor
Kitchen floor is new ceramic tile (shiny tile). The stairs that you can see there on the top right are servant's stairs that go to the main staircase. There used to be an island in the middle of the kitchen...it's outline can be seen on the floor and there's a cutout on the floor for a water line that would have gone up to it. Or electrical or whatever. Original wainscotting type thing with chairrail...good condition.

ceramic/porcelain tile needs a VERY solid base, hence this concrete board subfloor, which went down on top of the new plywood.
