its just starting to lightly rain in paris::unfortunately it started at the brocante at le republic:::so all the sellers got soaked along with their items as wells as the customers who ran like rats out of the square::::still several folks stayed:::ok::im soaked::::but i was able to find a few fun items such as old 1918 war photos for fifty cents each::::and eight old plates for six euros :::yes one can never have enough plates:::the fun item was a damaged squeaky toy:::ok::dont ask why:::cause i havent the faintest idea why i purchased it except to turn it into a work of dada art:::yes, im sure it will be a MOMA item in no time:::oh; the POMPIDEU MODERN ART MUSEUM is closed for the workers went on strike::::yes, so many strikes and not enough time :::or however that goes:::
we had a lovely dinner at the LE GRAND MERICOURT at 22 rue de la folie mericourt with our dear texas pals robin and larry and their cousin who is a dead ringer for AUDREY HEPBURN:::she was so cooly dressed in a 1920;s flapper dress over black leotards:::tres chic:::the dinner was a six course meal with many small portions:::it is france afterall;:;;everyone was pleasently surprised and everyone loved the meal::::the owners gave a description of each course::::they also prepare"d a speacial veggie version of the menu for adda; which was divine::::::the five bottles of wine went with each course::::yes; five::::
tonight we met robin and larry at RENATO for their last dinner:::pizza and wine and fun times are assured::::
then back to san francisco on tuesday::::cant wait to see my pals there and have asian food::::
