So yes, I realize that this is a fauxlaroid and it looks to be a fauxlaroid and looks nothing like a real polaroid... I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be a poser or anything, but I didn't want to lug my polaroid cameras around during CPW while I was trying to meet my future classmates. Because "Taking pictures all the time turns you into an observer. It automatically takes you out of the moment." ~July Delpy. So instead, I downloaded this app for my iphone that turns pictures I've taken on my iphone into fauxlaroids.
Anyway, the awesomeness continued. I got about 5 hours of sleep the night before and was ready for a super fun day with my good friend Aliya. She had gotten there the night before, but I hadn't seen much of her because I was hanging out with Alex and all. So anyway, I grabbed some breakfast, went to some classes (18.06 and 8.02, which are linear algebra and E&M...) Then Aliya and I went to yet another frat to learn how to DJ, then we went to do improv games with an improv troupe (which I'm actually contemplating joining...), got dinner at Baker, met up with Baker (a cool guy Aliya had met the night before...), and party hopped all night. Then once all the parties had died down, I went back to Aliya's dorm (cuz mine was just too damn far away) and we had a sleepover, complete with girl talk. We talked about boys and our lives and the possibility of living together next year. We're reluctant because we're afraid we'll end up hating each other if we live together, but it could also be fun. Idk, I'm a bit torn... Anyway, being at MIT is magical and fun and awesome and makes running on no sleep at all so worth it. I feel good today. I didn't have the greatest day ever, hasn't been the greatest week ever and I've been having some nightmares, but I feel good. For once I'm looking forward to my future.. I feel content :) I'm walking around my normal-ass day taking mental pictures of everything around me. Instead of getting pissed off at some people for being their normally stupid selves, I can laugh at their immaturity and hypocrisy and wow, does that make a difference :) Stupidity. Is. Hilarious. And in someee people, it makes you that much more entertaining, just to watch, and laugh at. Never have I met someone so hypocritical, so immature, so closed-minded, so selfish, etc, etc.. but really, I'm over it, and now it just makes my day. So thanks :) And I hope that one day you will be able to step outside of your head and other people's heads, and try to imagine your life for how it could be if you grew up a tad. For you, honestly, I hope nothing but the best, and until then, I hope you will continue to be this entertaining XD
Because now, I truly enjoy my life :) I truly enjoy not having to walk on eggshells all the time :) I love the people I spend time with, I love everything about them, I'll do absolutely anything for them. I love the people I'm meeting and the people I'm becoming closer to, I love that I don't have to be a huge part of your life anymore :) I love that I'm seeing the world for what it's worth.. :) I love my life :)
