Noise Reduction Camera Raw
- The absorption of sound vibrations. Fluoropolymer coatings form good noise dampening surfaces.
- Noise reduction is the process of removing noise from a signal. Noise reduction techniques are conceptually very similar regardless of the signal being processed, however a priori knowledge of the characteristics of an expected signal can mean the implementations of these techniques vary greatly
- In noise reduction mode, the camera takes two shots: the normal shot and one with the same exposure time but with the shutter closed. It is then able to determine the areas of an individual image that are susceptible to noise and compensate for this.
- DNG is based on the TIFF/EP standard format, and mandates significant use of metadata. Exploitation of the file format is royalty free; Adobe have published a license allowing anyone to exploit DNG,Adobe: and have also stated that there are no known intellectual property encumbrances or license
- A camera raw image file contains minimally processed data from the image sensor of either a digital camera, image scanner, or motion picture film scanner. Raw files are so named because they are not yet processed and therefore are not ready to be printed or edited with a bitmap graphics editor.
- A file format used in Photoshop which offers a true digital negative of an image.

Digits for Binary Day (25/365)
I don't believe in "binary day" any more than I do Halloween, but the caption worked with the image, so just deal with it.
These shoes, which are running shoes, are as comfortable as they are funny looking. I used to hate running, but today I ran two miles.
Kim got a pair at the same time that I did. She compares them to "isotoners for the feet" and likes how she can feel the grass under her feet. She, too, has started running since her acquisition. Her back used to hurt when she ran; no more in her Five Fingers.
Not to brag too much, but for you A590 owners, this was shot at ISO 400 using CHDK and the expose to the right technique. Noise reduction was performed in Adobe Camera Raw. I was quite pleased with the detail.
