A camera for recording images on videotape or for transmitting them to a monitor screen
A video camera is a camera used for electronic motion picture acquisition, initially developed by the television industry but now common in other applications as well.
A camera that records onto digital or videotape.
The modern CCTV video camera is available in both monochrome (black and white) and color. Cameras can be set in fixed-positions or placed on 'pan-and-tilt' devices that allow the camera to be moved up, down, left and right.
The infrared region of the spectrum; infrared radiation
the infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum; electromagnetic wave frequencies below the visible range; "they could sense radiation in the infrared"
having or employing wavelengths longer than light but shorter than radio waves; lying outside the visible spectrum at its red end; "infrared radiation"; "infrared photography"
'Infrared (IR)' light is electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength between 0.7 and 300 micrometres, which equates to a frequency range between approximately 1 and 430 THz.
Building à vendre
Went behind the building to look for entry points, but I noticed a red circle (see note). I'm sure it's an infrared video camera. No window are broken, no sign of infiltration. I'm sure the building is under alarm. I left after this only shot.
Infrared family portrait
The "Exploring the Universe" exhibit at the National Air and Space Museum had an infrared video camera hooked up to a display where you could see yourself in that part of the spectrum. This is our family in infrared.
