50.Miss Daphne Wears Tights
I have been incredibly reluctant to let Daphne wear tights. One of the problems with early potty training is that you sometimes have to make a bit of a rush for the toilet to avoid an accident. Daphne is actually really good about it, but I was worried that tights would be too hard to get on and off between potty breaks.
My friend Julie came over yesterday and gave Daphne a pair of tights from her youngest daughter. Of course, Daphne put them on right away and was incredibly happy with them.
I find it ironic that she is trying to, "hold her pee in" in this photo, the first day ever that she tried wearing a pair of tights.
"Kerrtu" Tunic + Tights
This tunic is an adapted version of the "Kerrtu" tunic from Ottobre Spring 1/2009 with an added knit fabric flower. I got the gingham (plaid?) knit from Joann's for $3 a yard and was able to make this tunic, a skirt for my baby girl, and a skirt for myself from two yards. The tights are made from some jersey I found for $2 a yard and are based on a pair of tights she already owns. It's a little big, because it's meant for her to wear to kindergarten in the fall.
