Walking back from Loch Lomond Shores after having a good day out with my nieces, I spotted this little fella lying on the pavement. He was dead already but looked in good condition, good enough to try some macro photography anyways!

Sat him up on a piece of A5 paper and then used a 430 EXII flash for some fill light, used off camera and held directly above, at 1/16th power. Used cactus wireless triggers to trigger the flash.

Still plenty more I can do with this photo so I'll have a play about and see what I can do.

The shot was taken at night, hand held with an off camera flash Nikon D80 with a sigma 105 Macro lens, off camera SB600 wireless flash held low and to the left. Fired from on camera with no light contribution. They were all shot between F8 and F11 1/60 sec ISO 200. Shot Raw converted to JPG in CS5
