Elf - Handpainted Organic Cotton
Elf is my favorite holiday movie! I watched it over the weekend as I dyed the last of my organic cotton. This green is inspired by Buddy's outfit and I think it would be smashing with some yellow tights!
Remember : "The best way to bring Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear"...but if you don't sing, consider knitting in a eco-friendly yarn.
Our cotton is grown naturally in the old tradition without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Spun in a small mill in India, the slight variations in spinning and plying add textural interest. This 2-ply yarn, tightly plied for strength, making it good for socks, baby items, crochet, and weaving.

Christmas Cherubim
The Tate Britain Christmas tree this year has been decorated by artist Sarah Lucas, in a work titled Cherubim/Allegory of Love. She's hung the tree with "baby angels and fairies" constructed from tights stretched over wire. As you can see, the angels have disturbing tiny genitals. Merry Christmas!
