One of 12 Harrier Mk 50's purchased from Hawker Siddeley by the US Navy for USMC. Later converted to AV-8C.

After retirement from USMC service, this aircraft was transferred to NASA as NASA 719.

When it was retired from NASA, it was transferred to the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum in San Diego, CA, still in NASA colors. (See other photos here.) This photo shows the aircraft after repainting to the original USMC paint scheme shown in another photo here.

At the time this photo was taken, this aircraft was in active USMC service with VMA-513. It later became NASA 719. Upon retirement from NASA it was transferred to the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum at MCAS Miramar in San Diego, CA. (See additional photos posted here.)
