Antique Peacock 3 Part Mirror For Dressing Table or Wall
Here is a lovely old Peacock mirror perfect for use on a dressing table or dresser. It was made by Canadian Pittsburgh Industries, around 1957.
The mirror has a larger center part with a smaller hinged part on either side. The sides can be folded and adjusted.
The mirror measures 30 3/16” wide and stands 19 ?” high in the center. The large panel is 11 7/8” wide, while the side panels each measure 17 ?” high at the outside and are 9” wide. The glass is 3/16” thick with a 1/8” thick backboard. The glass is attached to the backboard with clips.
The mirror is coated with a sterling silver backing.
It is in excellent condition for its age, the mirror is still very clear with no corrosion or clouding. There is a tiny chip out of the inside bottom edge of two panels, you have to really look to see them.
There are two rings on the back for hanging on a wall, or securing to the wall when on a table. This is a heavy, well- made mirror that will be sure to last another 50 + years.
