A form of steel containing chromium, resistant to tarnishing and rust
In metallurgy stainless steel, also known as inox steel or inox from French "inoxydable", is defined as a steel alloy with a minimum of 10.5 or 11% chromium content by mass. Stainless steel does not stain, corrode, or rust as easily as ordinary steel, but it is not stain-proof.

While I was standing on the sidewalk composing this photo, a man who was walking up Broad street with a couple came up to me and said: A Rollei! My father used to have one of those. It is a great camera!
It is also apparently a great conversation piece. Whenever I'm out with it I get at least a couple questions or comments and many, many looks--probably people wondering how such an old camera can still take pictures, ha!
Later the same week, while at Cafe Campagne, a man who was waiting for his turn on the list during brunch came to the table to tell me he used to have two of them when he lived in New York.
