A fin-de-siecle narra side console or altar table from a hinterland Ilocos town.
The unusually curved front legs were carved entirely from a 5-6 inch-wide block of wood to accommodate the sinuous slant.
The panel aprons feature serrated carving, like those found in Ilocos urnas or household altar shrines. Folksy grooved linework ending in raw curlicues are found on the front and side.
