Earlier this month we bought our first home. Yay! I've been an apartment dweller since I was a teen, so moving into a large place with more than one level has kind of freaked me out. Setting up security and communication, buying furniture, decorating our place, and mowing the lawn (my first time in over 20 yrs.) has consumed my time. We still need to change that friggin faded shutter. I've learned I'm truly an urban girl at heart and this suburban lifestyle totally freaks me out.

Photograph a Tree
The sun had set over an hour ago but the sky light had this hint of orange. I decided to stop my journey cycling home and make a pic. I had no tripod so found some railings and a wall to wedge the camera against. The street light illuminated the tree, the sky was illuminated by sun light? light pollution? I'm not sure. I decided to leave the camera on 'P' (Program auto - camera chooses the f/stop and shutter speed) and see what happened - this was it.
