The streets are packed with vendors, each with their own personal hustle. Designer names certainly have gotten cheaper lately... I can pick up a dozen Rolexes for $30 each, or diamond-studded Dolce & Gabbana shades for $10. Skeptics might cast doubt as to the provenance of these bargains.
Street artists sketch or photograph passing tourists. There's one particular scheme that's pretty common—you'll see Asians drawing people's names with multicolored crayons, using ironing boards as draftsman's tables. Some of them are really beautiful butterfly patterns. Some of them are smeary crap on a prefab Dora the Explorer backdrop.
