ebay Trigger-Remote for Canon Camera 4
Since the ebay radio flash trigger can only control 2 connection points, we can not have the 2 step actions like the wire remote.
When the the stereo plug is connected to the remote cord, the following will happen:
1) Since the "ring" section is open, that means no auto focus. Lens has to be manually focused, or change the camemra's CF to 4-1 or 4-3, and use the "*" button to auto focus.
2) Because of no auto focus, the "One Shot" shooting mode will not work unless it's prefocus, or the lens is manual mode (the shutter will refuse to release).
3) The half press shutter botton also keeps the camera awake (LCD screen active), the lacking of half press action will put the camera back to sleep mode in preset time, and once the camera is in sleep mode, the wireless remote can not wake it up. So chang the "Auto Power Off" setting of "OFF" or like 30 mins will do the trick.
4) The test botton on the ebay transmitter has to be pressed twice the fire the camera shutter once.
Wireless Infrared Remote
Canon doesn't have a wireless remote for the T2i, although the camera does support one. I think maybe the RC-5 remote might work with the T2i, but I could never find out for sure...
So, I found this multi-camera remote on eBay for $4. The "S" button will remotely trigger the shutter and (woohoo!) the "2S" button will start/stop recording in video mode.
