Hot Wheels on ice
Winter driving is tricky. Yesterday I got myself into a big mess (reenacted today with my favorite Hot Wheels).
There I was wedged sideways in a snowbank, chains broken and wrapped around the axel, shoveling like a madwoman and saying some very bad words.
Fortunately I was almost home, Hubby came down and between the two of us we got the car out OK, no harm done besides a couple of sore backs and pouty faces.
The joys of winter!
A speckled colour-changing Hot Wheels Ferrari Testarossa.
Around 1990 or so, Mattel introduced a line of special Hot Wheels cars with temperature-sensitive paint. I found this Hot Wheels Ferrari Testarossa in a box the other week, and I was surprised to find that the colour-changing feature still worked well, so I poured hot water on it to turn it yellow, and then used some ice to draw red splotches on it.
