so after dinner i grab the camera and head for the back door for today's shot. before i can get to the door though, the six year old says "dad, can i come with you and use your other camera?" i say, "what about your camera?" she replies "i like yours better" what's a dad to do??? of course you can. so i put it on Program mode and off she went.
she's becoming quite the little shutterbug, and i'm happy she's so enthusiastic (with the camera strap securely around her neck of course). it really does warm my heart that the girls (well, 3 of the 4 anyway) are taking an interest. the 11 year old is really good in LR and has a working knowledge of aperture, shutter speed and fixed vs zoom lenses. the 6 year old is learning LR as well and it's amazing how fast they can pick it up.
the 4 year old below, not to be outdone, had her camera out and was directing me for poses (not sure where she learned that from...). I was holding flowers, leaves, in the shade, in the light, making funny faces until her memory card was full. note to self, replace her card with a smaller one.
Raindrop lenses Project 365(3) Day 284b
When the rain finally stopped and the sky brightened, I noticed that the raindrops on the window were acting like little lenses giving me an almost perfect upside down image of the world outside.
The blue at the top is the pool cover, the cream strip is the pool surround followed by the fencing and at the bottom of the images is the sky. You can even make out the palm tree in the corner and the decorative plaques on the wall. These raindrops lenses are pretty good, I reckon they are equivalent to about 24mm, I wonder what f stop they work at?
