Carbide Grinding Wheel
- a wheel composed of abrasive material; used for grinding

Cutter Wheel
Wendy is using our angle grinder to lop off the ends of the arches.
When we designed the dome it was around the maximum length of the
rebar that we get locally which is 20'. The outer arch uses a full
stick of rebar while the inner has about 15" left over. We recently
found out that there are very thin carbide wheels for angle grinders
which can easily cut through rebar. We had been using the fat wheels
which are good for grinding down messy welds, but terrible for
cutting steel.
Dremel accessories
Cut-off wheels (in the little canister and showing one screwed onto the mandrel), aluminium oxide grinding bit, tungsten carbide carving bit (not Dremel branded, I bought it second hand on eBay but it fits into the Dremel collet fine), silicon carbide grinding bit, felt wheel covered in yucky polishing compound. The compound stained the back side of the shell brown but fortunately didn't mark the patterned outer side.
