I wanted that over-exposed, blown-out look that suggests an overpowering sun. I quite like the result, even if it is croppped and a little grainy. (did the exposure comp on computer rather than the camera)
Also: Hard to take pictures of people on the beach with a telephoto lens without looking like a massive pervert!

I was so intent on photographing the sandpipers running around next to our beach location I didn't even notice the rest of the scene......... :)
Ah well I'll add it to the Mortals On The Beach Series.
I fiddled with the image and its very saturated, perhaps to much, but I like the effect.
